Mayweather vs Marquez: New Fight Schedule

Tuesday, June 30, 2009 · 2 comments

Subsequent to the disappointment of many after having to announce the controversial postponement of the Mayweather vs Marquez fight last July 18, 2009 because of the rib injury suffered by Floyd during his training session. Many have reacted because this is not what they expect to happen in the middle of the schedule.

This will create issues later much more than to what we expect. Others sources said that it was really to expect because the fight is not selling tickets and MGM is aware of it. Almost all of the promotions I guess should sell tickets well and if not, then I guess any adjustment should take place. But this is only speculations and I hope this is not true since this will just build uncertainty where fans should believe.

This is the beginning of having to wait for this fight for this is very spectacular since both fighters where also good. But this fight must end as a huge one to match the winning moments of Pacquiao. If they wont beat what has been watched by others before then these fighters again have no chance of gaining much respect to face Pacman.

Manny Paquiao's Victory interests Mosley

Friday, May 22, 2009 · 0 comments

I had waited for the Pacquiao vs Hatton fight for so long. It started from the speculations that it will not be a possible match since both parties do not agree with the prize distribution. I have written some articles about this match. Many have waited for this fight to become a reality. Many had discussed about the pros and cons of the upcoming fight.

The time has come that the fight came into reality. Many have rejoiced for they can witness once more Manny Pacquiao on the ring facing the pride of Manchester, another great fighter, Ricky Hatton. The long wait paid off! This is it! Now it became the talk of the town or shall I say around the world.

Both teams then prepared well for this battle. The date was May 2, 2009, American time, when the war of the world happened at the MGM Grand Arena in Las Vegas. Earlier in the fight, during the weigh in, many have come to see these two great fighters during its final weigh-in. Both fighters expressed their heartfelt gratitude to all the fans that supported them. This was the time also for other great boxers to support the two. Some uttered to which fighter they are in. But some where playing safe and just there to support the two brawlers.

During the fight, I was in a stadium then with my wife in a free pay-per-view sponsored by some politicians in our place. The place was so crowded then for almost everyone want to see the most exciting fight of the year. In round one, I almost threw my phone rejoicing Pacquiao when that right hook bring Hatton the first knockdown ever for his career at 140 lbs. Then before the second round ends, another knock down happens. As the start of the 2nd round was signaled by the bell, I can feel the victory of Pacquiao. I was right then with my perceptions. The pride of the Philippines Manny Pacquiao made the pride of Manchester a boxer lying on the canvass unconscious. This was another great victorious campaign for team Pacquiao.

Now another story will be told. Welterweight star Shane Mosley has called out Manny Pacquiao following the Filipino’s flawless two-round destruction career of Ricky Hatton.
Mosley (46-5, 39 KOs) was impressed by Pacquiao’s performance, and is very much looking forward to meet Manny on the ring very soon. It will be another clash of the world’s famous boxers. A former pound-for-pound king himself, Mosley recapped his willingness to face top oppositions available.

And his motivation in facing Pacquiao? He could be the first guy in history to win the pound-for-pound title twice.

AN INTERESTING CONVERSATION

I have to share this story ever shared by my friend charm from California. She is a good friend of mine in college and still keeping in touch for forwarding some nice and touching stories and messages. This story must be shared to my fellow Hectic Capiznon Bloggers whom were never tried of everything. Below is a story of an atheist professor of philosophy who has a class...

atheist+%26+science Pictures, Images and Photos

(God, Faith and Science. Think about it)

An atheist professor of philosophy speaks to his class on the problem science has with God, The Almighty. He asks one of his new students to stand and.....

Prof: So you believe in God?
Student: Absolutely, sir.
Prof: Is God good?
Student: Sure.

Prof: Is God all-powerful?
Student: Yes.
Prof: My brother died of cancer even though he prayed to God to heal him. Most of us would attempt to help others who are ill. But God didn't. How is this God good then? Hmm?
(Student is silent.)

Prof: You can't answer, can you? Let's start again, young fellow. Is God good?
Student: Yes.
Prof: Is Satan good?
Student: No.

Prof: Where does Satan come from?
Student: From...God...
Prof: That's right. Tell me son, is there evil in this world?
Student: Yes.

Prof: Evil is everywhere, isn't it? And God did make everything. Correct?
Student: Yes.
Prof: So who created evil?
Student does not answer.

Prof: Is there sickness? Immorality? Hatred? Ugliness? All these terrible things exist in the world, don't they?
Student: Yes, sir.
Prof: So, who created them?
Student has no answer.

Prof: Science says you have 5 senses you use to identify and observe the world around you. Tell me, son...Have you ever seen God?
Student: No, sir.
Prof: Tell us if you have ever heard your God?
Student: No, sir.

Prof: Have you ever felt your God, tasted your God, smelt your God? Have you ever had any sensory perception of God for that matter?
Student: No, sir. I'm afraid I haven't.
Prof: Yet you still believe in Him?
Student: Yes.

Prof: According to empirical, testable, demonstrable protocol, science says your GOD doesn't exist. What do you say to that, son?
Student: Nothing. I only have my faith.
Prof: Yes. Faith. And that is the problem science has.

Student: Professor, is there such a thing as heat?
Prof: Yes.
Student: And is there such a thing as cold?
Prof: Yes.
Student: No sir. There isn't.
(The lecture theater becomes very quiet with this turn of events.)

Student: Sir, you can have lots of heat, even more heat, superheat, mega heat, white heat, a little heat or no heat. But we don't have anything called cold. We can hit 458 degrees below zero which is no heat, but we can't go any further after that. There is no such thing as cold. Cold is only a word we use to describe the absence of heat. We cannot measure cold. Heat is energy. Cold is not the opposite of heat, sir, just the absence of it.
(There is pin-drop silence in the lecture theatre.)

Student: What about darkness, Professor? Is there such a thing as darkness?
Prof: Yes. What is night if there isn't darkness?
Student: You're wrong again, sir. Darkness is the absence of something. You can have low light, normal light, bright light, flashing light....But if you have no light constantly, you have nothing and it's called darkness, isn't it? In reality, darkness isn't. If it were you would be able to make darkness darker, wouldn't you?

Prof: So what is the point you are making, young man?
Student: Sir, my point is your philosophical premise is flawed.
Prof: Flawed? Can you explain how?

Student: Sir, you are working on the premise of duality. You argue there is life and then there is death, a good God and a bad God. You are viewing the concept of God as something finite, something we can measure. Sir, science can't even explain a thought. It uses electricity and magnetism, but has never seen, much less fully understood either one. To view death as the opposite of life is to be ignorant of the fact that death cannot exist as a substantive thing. Death is not the opposite of life: just the absence of it. Now tell me, Professor. Do you teach your students that they evolved from a monkey?

Prof: If you are referring to the natural evolutionary process, yes, of course, I do.
Student: Have you ever observed evolution with your own eyes, sir? (The Professor shakes his head with a smile, beginning to realize where the argument is going.)
Student: Since no one has ever observed the process of evolution at work and cannot even prove that this process is an on-going endeavor, are you not teaching your opinion, sir? Are you not a scientist but a preacher? (The class is in uproar.)

Student: Is there anyone in the class who has ever seen the Professor's brain?
(The class breaks out into laughter.)
Student: Is there anyone here who has ever heard the Professor's brain, felt it, touched or smelt it? No one appears to have done so. So, according to the established rules of empirical, stable, demonstrable protocol, science says that you have no brain, sir. With all due respect, sir, how do we then trust your lectures, sir?
(The room is silent. The professor stares at the student, his face unfathomable.)

Prof: I guess you'll have to take them on faith, son.
Student: That is it sir... The link between man & God is FAITH. That is all that keeps things moving & alive.

A stop motion video to loosen our mind

Wednesday, March 4, 2009 · 0 comments

Since I was in high school, I always wanted to create fancy things especially on my favorite toys. This is my past time. Creating toys which interest me and my friends will make our days complete. Imagining what could be the next trick to make it more unique and appealing to others is our quest. Being an imaginative teenager, to be distinctive with our works really gives us courage to think of whatever possibilities we can apply. Although we have not succeeded with our pursuit, we are always been good friends with the feelings that we can do it in due time.

Now that we are in a life that is full of challenges, we forgot what we have done before but in someways still continue what we have started in our own separate ways. Being a person full of activities and somehow very occupied to your job, we ought to have some past time to somehow loosen up our minds. But not to lost it all the way. If you are a Hectic Blogger who seems to be so occupied in the web, I have hunted some video for you to watch. I want to share this stop motion video from Paul Romein and Greg Radzimowski for you to unwind and relax for a while.

They have done it for 38 hours of tedious jobs. Dedication is the key for this video project to make it a realization. Sooner or later, I want to produce this kind of movie and share it with you. Enjoy!

Another week for Hectic Capiznon Blogger

Thursday, February 19, 2009 · 1 comments

Whoa! Another week has gone by yet I can’t imagine and figure out what is happening to my entry. Plus the event that my laptop gone so badly because I can’t see anything on my desktop. I thought it was the whole system that went wrong (e.g. OS and Hardware). I have been offline for five days and I cannot update my blog knowing that I don’t have extra PC at home. Good to know that it is only the LCD of my laptop that need to be replaced. Is it really good to know? I suppose it will cost me something or everything in my savings. I don’t think I can buy some replacement of it in my place. I have to search through online stores if any is available. Or the easiest cure is to buy and attach a separate monitor to continue what I am doing on optimizing my blogs and get connected with my fellows. But I guess this is not the best idea.

This occurrence with my PC has brought me some worries now on how to keep me going with this Hectic Capiznon Bloggers 2009 challenge which is on a tougher part now since there are a lot of masters and more experienced participants are now getting on top. If you are an experienced one, then probably you will surely get on top. I hope that my notebook computer will be soon fixed so that a beginner like me can still pursue what I have been started because being on the list of the top ranking entrants adds a strong point to keep on going but is not really an ultimate goal. A consolation maybe or shall I say my extra bonus on joining this contest? Well, learning a lot of stuffs when it comes to making it on top is my extreme goal. Because there are a lot of opportunities waiting for an experienced SE Optimizer who can help other sites and companies rank their sites to have them on the go and raise their sales.

Just wanna show some appreciations to those participants who are very friendly and helpful to other bloggers including me for the bits of advices and tips they are rendering into their blog and comments. But let us make it a friendly contest and stop nonsense arguments amongst participants. Let us do our jobs and continue to promote Capiz as Hectic Bloggers this 2009.

Click fraud? Let Google explains it.

Saturday, February 7, 2009 · 0 comments

Click FraudMy friend and I just discussed 2 months ago about click fraud, that was with regards to increasing incentives from Google adsense, a sponsored link from Google’s advertisers you can install or put on your website or blog. When somebody visits your site and have clicked one of the advertiser’s links and surf the site or any other activities the clicker might do, you might have earn from it. But of course I don’t exactly know how to ratio my earnings base from the info on my adsense account. I can not maximize my earnings and now I here is the truth about this so called click fraud issue.

I have done some research and get this information. Click fraud is a type of Internet crime that occurs in pay per click online advertising when a certain person, Botnet, or computer program imitates a legitimate user of a web browser clicking on an ad for the purpose of generating a charge per click without having actual interest in the target of the ad's link. Botnet is a slang term for a collection of software robots, or bots, that run separately and automatically. Click fraud is the subject of some controversy and increasing litigation due to the advertising networks being a key recipient of the fraud.

Still you have the option to believe it. Click fraud is a very complex issue. Unfortunately, much of the information available has been misinterpreted due to that complexity. Shuman Ghosemajumder of Google gives some information that will hopefully clear up that gray area.

For starters, click fraud is driven by 2 major incentives:

1. Attacking advertisers - when an advertiser tries to hide one of his competitors
2. Inflating affiliates - when an AdSense publisher tries to fraudulently increase his own revenue by generating false clicks.

Methods of click fraud stem from simplistic techniques to sophisticated techniques. Simplistic methods include manual clicks such as when a fraudster personally clicks ads on his own computer. It gets a little more sophisticated when a fraudster organizes botnets and uses them for click fraud. Click farms, which consist of individuals or organizations that try to hire people to click on ads continuously, fall somewhere in the middle of the simple and sophisticated click fraud techniques.

Shuman does point out that: “the impact of invalid clicks at Google is minimal.” Google detects click fraud through simple rules and statistical anomaly detection. Google’s simple rules consist of certain rules they have already defined as what they classify as an invalid click. Since some simple rules can be easily broken, statistical anomaly detection is more effective because it looks at specific activities on websites and compares the expected behavior to the observed behavior. This data gives Google a better understanding of how to detect invalid clicks.

For advertisers wanting to take proactive measures to prevent click fraud, Shuman advises keeping the return on investment (ROI) as the central focus. Research and gather as much data as possible, test everything, and track all results. If you apply these actions and your ROI drops for no reason, you have a good reason to suspect undetected click fraud and should file a claim.

So I guess we have to give credits to those advertisers who pays for the ads. Let us use adsense and earn from it in a fair way. Hectic Capiznon Bloggers 2009 will not patronage this click fraud just to gain earnings from Google yet have not worked on it.
